Assessing the Class
Formative:Task: In class- Learning Experience 4.
To demonstrate their ability to use persuasive writing and understand the features of language. This task has been allocated to students, as it permits students to be creative and humorous, whilst still using persuasive writing. The persuasive argument, encouraging the teacher to visit the dentist, will be an individual task which will be marked to understand where the student is achieving. Task: In class- Learning Experience 10.
To demonstrate their knowledge of the text and how it still relates to Australians today. This task encourages students to critically analyse Australia as a Nation and learn to understand what this country has endured to be our home. |
Summative:Task: In class and at home.
To perform a four minute monologue, as a survivor of the Stolen Generation. Students will need to write,practice and perform their piece. Students will need to think about:
The incorporation of multimodal resources must be evident. This task is set to allow students to showcase their understanding of the issue and portray their ethical stance on the chosen theme. Both the presentation and the written work will be assessed, along side their content and knowledge of their character. |
